Hi All,
I'm actually at work scribbling this. It's not that I've nothing to do - in fact I have quite a stack of work. My problem is that the programme I use to do my data entry is playing up rotten! It's a really comprehensive application called 'Allocations' and the licence costs a bomb. It's been running slow for months, but now, since we had a new server installed, it's been reduced to crawling along really, really slowly.

Our friendly IT team can't seem to find out what the problem is. I feel like quitting here and now, because my stress level is through the bloody roof! Trying to achieve any level of efficiency is impossible. It's like asking a mechanic to fix a Ferrari with a paper clip!

It's really quite strange, because the Payroll and Invoicing applications are fairly racing along - it's just the entry of shifts and staff which is playing up. Both payroll and Invoicing are calculated from the data I, and the other Allocations Co-ordinators, input.

The only thing that I can think of is to have the IT guys do a back-up and a clean reinstall, but I can't see them doing that unless every other avenue fails.

Just as an example; I entered two items and those took 20mins. I can't continue working this way, my blood pressure must be through the roof. How the daytime staff manage I have no idea, it must be sending them insane!

Does anyone of my readers have any suggestions? It would be wonderful if we could solve the problem.

Thanks for reading my bitch.

Vickie (... who forgot to take the Panadol to work.)

Hugs help Suz.Thanks

Only two boxes? Come on girl, I'm sure you've got more that you could part with. What about John?

So far I have two boxes of discarded clothes from me...Rob has yet to think about his wardrobe. I'm planning on holding a Garage Sale. I might manage to get a few dollars for my wardrobe throwouts. We have a couple of boxes of books that will be going too. So far I've packed 23 boxes of DVDs, Videos, books and linen. There are still hundreds of books to pack and CDs by the tonne.

I'm taking the day off packing today. I rather over did it yesterday and I ache from neck to knees!

All I want right now, is to be putting the key in the lock at 63 Riverstone Rd and for Rob and myself to relax. Well relax is the wrong word, because we have a huge amount of work facing us, once we get that door open! LOL I guess I just want us to be 'HOME'! From the first time Rob entered that little cottage, he said he felt at home, so it will be lovely to be there.

At least you don't have to pack much for Killer! He must be getting used to you putting things in boxes by now. You've moved so many times in the last few years that he doesn't even bury his bones anymore!

I guess I'm going to have to tackle the boss on the work problem...yet again. She must think I'm a real nag.

Lots of love to all,

Vickie.

Suggestions... Talk to it.
It will listen.
Swearing helps too.
Firefly swearing gets you great looks from co-workers...

LOL...I can't speak Mandarin though.
I wonder if Mandi could teach me a few curses?
Mind you, if I watch that DVD one more time I probably won't need lessons!
