I'm an Australian. I'm not officially classified as "young" any more, though I beg to differ! You're as old as you feel!
I live in Gordonvale, Queensland, with the love of my life Rob (who IS young and is the reason I feel it!)
I'm a writer... Poetry and short stories mainly, though I have made a tentative step towards my first novel.
I love life with a passion and my favourite quote is Life's not a get your act together!

In 1999, I decided it was time to spread my wings. During the next couple of years I travelled quite widely in the USA... not to mention uprooting myself from a boring existance in Cairns, Queensland and moving to the big smoke to start a new life with Rob.

I worked for a nursing agency three evenings a week finding temporary staff for medical facilities. I also developed a new hobby of designing and making jewellery under the name of FantaC.

Rob and I travelled to the UK in 2003 to visit his relatives there. We took a side trip to London, where I was born and lived until I was nearly 14. Honestly, when we returned home, I wanted to copy the Pope and kiss the good earth of Australia.

In August 2004, Rob and I got married in the lounge room of our home in Sydney. Two months later, we decided that we'd had enough of Sydney and started planning our return to Queensland. We had tenants in the house, so we had to wait until their lease was up. We arrived back on the 26th January 2005 in the middle of the Wet Season. We'd been stranded for 3 days in Mackay due to flooding, so we were very glad to see Gordonvale!

You can read of our "adventures" in the rest of my blog and I hope you don't get too bored with our very quiet life.
